Whitehouse Community Primary Schoolare looking for a Site Maintenance Worker to join the team
Working under the direction of the Site Manager you will have responsibility for leading a team of cleaners to do in-house repairs and improvements as well as contribute to the overall management and security of the site.
Your responsibilities will include:
- locking and securing the site each evening and unlocking in the morning if cover is required
- routine and emergency site repairs maintenance and refurbishment
- contributing to the planned preventative maintenance routines
- routine health and safety and site checks
- liaising with contractors
- porterage
- ad-hoc cleaning.
We are looking for someone with:
- A range of DIY skills including plumbing and carpentry
- Excellent working knowledge of the maintenance and development of an educational or commercial setting
- Understanding of building regulations and health and safety policies
- Excellent organisational skills and a keen eye for detail
- The ability to prioritise the tasks in hand
- Resilience and the ability to work unsupervised and as part of an effective team.
