Theyre looking for a Site Service Engineer to join their team in London. If you have solid knowledge of CCTV access control and IT systems and youre keen to develop your technical expertise whilst delivering reliable service to high-profile clients this role offers genuine career progression and the chance to work on critical infrastructure projects.
As a Site Service Engineer youll be the technical backbone supporting large-scale integrated security systems on a high-security site in central London. Youll handle daily fault requests perform planned preventative maintenance and respond to out-of-hours reactive duties ensuring systems run smoothly across analogue and digital CCTV control rooms multi-site access control and perimeter detection systems. Your work directly protects critical infrastructure and keeps complex systems operational making you essential to the clients success and their customers security.
Respond to daily fault requests and out-of-hours reactive duties with reliable courteous and efficient service
Perform planned preventative maintenance on complex CCTV systems DVR and NVR recording systems and access control platforms
Carry out field-based repairs and maintenance on analogue and digital CCTV systems functional and managed control rooms
Maintain and repair multi-site access control systems and perimeter detection systems on high-security sites
Update the helpdesk system accurately and maintain comprehensive documentation of all work completed
Maintain company vehicle and ensure its kept in good working order for field visits
Demonstrate flexibility with working hours including planned out-of-hours and weekend work as required
Adhere to company management systems and health and safety procedures at all times
Support colleagues through knowledge sharing and contribute to continuous improvement across the team
Essential knowledge and experience:
Sound knowledge of CCTV systems across varying scales and complexity
Hands-on experience with DVR and NVR systems and on-site repair capability
Knowledge of access control systems with site mustering functionality
Understanding of IT systems and basic networking principles
Experience with perimeter detection and intrusion systems
Ability to read and interpret technical documentation and system schematics
Strong problem-solving skills with a methodical analytical approach
Confident completing technical documentation and maintenance records
Excellent communication skills with a professional telephone manner
Self-disciplined organised and reliable with strong time management
Desirable knowledge:
Experience with specific platforms such as Galaxy Alarms Cortech GUI CEM C-Cure Gallagher or Synergy access control systems
Familiarity with Milestone or Video Matrix IP systems and RAID recording
First-line repair experience on gates and barriers
Knowledge of network infrastructure and IP-based security systems
