Simulator Engineer

Job Description:

We invite applications to apply for the role of Simulator Engineer based at our Dyce Avenue location.

Purpose of Role: Day to day running maintenance & repair of Rotary Wing Flight Simulators based at Bristow Training Centre Dyce Avenue.

Principal Responsibilities:

• Maintenance and repair of Simulator systems as required by the Company and OEMs in accordance with relevant regulations & appropriate equipment manuals;
• Control of the systems required to run the simulators;
• Compliance with the appropriate maintenance and procedure Manuals;
• Implement updates of simulator data to Ground Station Data Host loads and Visual Databases;
• Read and understand the unserviceabilities unserviceability recording & reporting process;
• Running of Qualification Test Guides (QTGs);
• Update of the simulator maintenance and procedures manuals as appropriate;
• Reporting of unserviceabilitys and faults;
• Plan the repair of reported faults as applicable;
• To assume appropriate responsibilities when requested during supervisors absence;
• Communication with clients contractors aviation authorities & OEM representatives;
• Comply with the quality standards required by Bristow Helicopters Ltd;
• Comply with Design Procedures as set out in Company Handbooks and agreements with Third Parties.

Knowledge and Experience:

• Candidates must be computer literate with advanced window application knowledge;
• Hold basic knowledge of electrical / electronic / avionic systems;
• Have knowledge of database programming and input techniques;
• Proven understanding of fault-finding principles and corrective measures techniques;
• Knowledge of schematic drawings would be advantageous;
• Operational experience is desirable.

Qualifications

• An HND / BTEC 3 in Avionics & Electrical Engineering would be advantageous.
