We are looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Shipping Administrator to join our Supply Chain team on a 12-month fixed term contract. This is a fantastic opportunity to play a key role in ensuring the smooth movement of goods across our global operations.
The Role
As a Shipping Administrator you will be part of a small collaborative team responsible for coordinating the shipment of import and export orders. Youll manage shipping documentation liaise with transport providers and act as a key point of contact for delivery queries.
This is a fast-paced role where organisation communication and the ability to problem-solve are essential.
Key Responsibilities
- Act as the first point of contact for customer delivery queries
- Arrange import and export shipments via air and road
- Prepare and process customs documentation including export licence-controlled goods
- Provide customs clearance instructions for UK imports
- Track shipments and proactively resolve delays
- Coordinate freight suppliers and optimise shipping routes for cost efficiency
- Prepare dispatch paperwork and maintain accurate records
- Support the team with general administrative tasks including scanning and archiving
Qualifications :
Were looking for someone who is confident organised and thrives in a busy environment. You will bring:
- Previous experience in import/export or shipping administration
- Strong communication skills and confidence dealing with customers and suppliers
- The ability to manage multiple priorities and work to deadlines
- Excellent attention to detail and a proactive approach
Skills & Experience
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word Excel Outlook)
- Experience using courier portals (e.g. FedEx DHL UPS TNT)
- Knowledge of customs processes and documentation
- SAP experience is desirable but not essential
