Job Summary
Job Title: Shift Leader - NeedleworkResponsible to:Head of Finished ProductsWe are currently looking for a Shift Leader to oversee our Needlework is a permanent post working 34 hours per week. Monday to Thursday 1600-0100. The rate of pay starts from 15.00 per hour with the successful candidates relevant skills and experience taken into consideration. About the Role: As a Shift Leader you will be responsible for ensuring the production flow in the department and meet targets by leading the team to maximise operational efficiency and ensure key responsibilities will include:DeliveryMeet targets and prioritise work according to the department production planOptimise operational efficiencyEnsure quality standards meet specificationsDrive continuous improvementEnsure department is clean and orderly at all timesEnsure planned and preventative maintenance is carried out as problem solving techniques to support decision makingDeputise for Head of DepartmentControl of department costsMonitor performance identifying any performance related issues and implement capability or disciplinary procedure when requiredDuty of care to ensure the health and safety of your teamConduct recruitment activities on-boarding one-to-one meetings and PDRsManage absence including but not limited to holidays and sickness absence Responsible for training and development of your team and perform the role of assessor and or verifierEnsure that your team are competent to do their roles as per the competency standards at the required productivity level Ensure effective communications with your team including running shift meetings white boards and shift handovers Demonstrate Leadership BehavioursEngages peoples hearts and mindsDemonstrate personal humility & vulnerability Puts common good before self interestActively encourages connection and collaborationDemonstrates courage to challenge and changeListens reflects and integrates diverse perspectivesTakes responsibility for excellence & performanceAbout YouWe are looking for a confident proactive leader who can inspire their team and drive strong operational performance.
