Job Summary
DS Smith is looking for an experienced Electrical Maintenance Engineer to join our engineering team. This is a hands-on role where youll play an important part in keeping our manufacturing operation running safely reliably and efficiently.
Working 4 on 4 off shift rotation youll be responsible for carrying out planned preventative maintenance electrical fault finding and repairs while also supporting the wider engineering team with mechanical breakdowns.

- Responding quickly and effectively to electrical and mechanical breakdowns to minimise production downtime.
- Carrying out electrical fault finding diagnostics and repairs across site machinery and equipment.
- Supporting mechanical maintenance and breakdown activities as part of a multi-skilled engineering team.
- Completing planned preventative and reactive maintenance activities to a high standard.
- Identifying recurring faults and contributing to root cause analysis and continuous improvement.
- Working safely in line with company procedures risk assessments and relevant legislation.
- Maintaining accurate records of maintenance activities through the sites maintenance management systems.
- Working closely with Production and Engineering colleagues to improve equipment reliability and minimise downtime.
- Supporting engineering improvement projects and equipment upgrades where required.
- Maintaining high standards of housekeeping safety and quality within the engineering environment.
