We are looking for an experienced values-driven and inspirational Service Manager to join our Liverpool Drug and Alcohol Service. This is an exciting opportunity to provide operational leadership across a large and diverse treatment and recovery system supporting people affected by drug and alcohol use across Liverpool.

Hours: 37.5 hours per week
Contract Type: Fixed Term Contract of 3 months (Welcome Internal Secondment)
Please note: Full-time hours at Change Grow Live are 37.5 hours per week. For part-time roles the salary and payments will be pro rata based on contracted hours.
This is a key leadership role within one of Change Grow Lives largest and most innovative services.
As Service Manager you will provide operational leadership across designated teams and service functions ensuring services are safe effective accessible and focused on delivering positive outcomes for the people who use them. You will lead multidisciplinary teams working across community treatment harm reduction psychosocial interventions criminal justice pathways recovery support outreach and partnership provision.
Working closely with the Services Manager and senior stakeholders you will be responsible for service performance quality improvement workforce development safeguarding governance health and safety and contractual delivery. You will support staff to deliver high-quality person-centred services while driving innovation partnership working and continuous improvement.
The successful candidate will have significant experience of managing substance misuse services strong leadership skills and a track record of delivering performance and quality outcomes within complex service environments. You will be confident working with commissioners partner agencies and community stakeholders and will have the ability to motivate and develop teams while maintaining a strong focus on service user outcomes.
You will be able to demonstrate:
- Significant experience of managing drug and alcohol services or related health and social care services.
- Experience of leading and developing multidisciplinary teams.
- Strong understanding of performance management quality assurance and governance frameworks.
- Experience of managing contracts budgets and service delivery targets.
- Knowledge of recovery-oriented approaches and treatment systems.
- Experience of developing effective partnerships with commissioners and external stakeholders.
- Excellent leadership communication and influencing skills.
- The ability to analyse data identify issues and drive improvements.
- A commitment to safeguarding equality diversity and inclusion.
- A recognised qualification in health social care or management or willingness to work towards one.
