Are you an experienced primary care professional who enjoys keeping services organised supporting colleagues and making sure patients receive a consistently high-quality service

At OneMedical Group we are looking for two experienced and motivated Service Coordinators to support the smooth day-to-day running of our primary care services in Milton Keynes.

One Service Coordinator will oversee Whitehouse Surgery and Neath Hill Health Centre while the second will be based at Brooklands Health Centre. Each role is full-time at 40 hours per week.

Working closely with the Business Manager you will coordinate operational and administrative activity across your service including clinical rotas room allocation workforce administration and the day-to-day leadership of the non-clinical team.

This is a varied hands-on role for someone who understands primary care builds positive working relationships and can balance competing priorities while maintaining a professional patient-focused service.

Your Role & Responsibilities

As Service Coordinator you will support the Business Manager to deliver high-quality sustainable care services and ensure that daily operations run effectively.

Your day-to-day will include:

  • Service Coordination: Coordinating the smooth day-to-day running of the service and responding to operational priorities as they arise.
  • Rotas & Cover: Managing clinical rotas to minimise gaps in cover coordinating locum bookings and keeping relevant HR systems up to date.
  • Locum Support: Providing locums with an appropriate information pack and an introduction to the service.
  • People Leadership: Providing guidance support and day-to-day leadership to the non-clinical team including Patient Navigators.
  • Employee Development: Supporting inductions appraisals one-to-ones probationary reviews and training plans and coordinating the onboarding and training of new administrative colleagues.
  • Workforce Administration: Maintaining sickness records escalating concerns appropriately managing payroll submissions and keeping leave and absence information accurate.
  • Leave & Employee Relations: Overseeing annual leave approvals to maintain appropriate cover and supporting employee relations matters including sickness performance and disciplinary issues.
  • Systems Access: Ensuring employees and locums have the appropriate IT access for clinical and non-clinical systems.
  • Rooms & Resources: Managing clinical room rentals and allocations monitoring petty cash raising purchase orders and maintaining stationery supplies in line with internal processes.
  • Collaborative Working: Working closely with managers and support functions including People and Recruitment to maintain efficient operational and administrative processes.

What We Are Looking For

Were looking for organised and confident coordinators who can combine strong administration with supportive people leadership in a busy primary care environment.

Youll ideally bring:

  • Previous experience working in primary care.
  • Previous team leader or supervisory experience.
  • An understanding of primary care operations and the external factors that can influence service delivery.
  • The ability to manage senior administrative tasks including workforce-related administration.
  • Strong organisational communication and problem-solving skills.
  • The confidence to prioritise a varied workload and remain calm in a busy changing environment.
  • A collaborative and supportive approach to working with colleagues managers and wider support teams.
  • Good IT skills and the ability to maintain accurate records across different systems.
  • A genuine commitment to delivering an excellent patient-focused service.

Experience of business development or service promotion within healthcare would be advantageous as would knowledge of HR processes payroll management and colleague training or induction programmes.

Most importantly youll be someone who enjoys bringing structure to a busy service supporting people and helping primary care teams work effectively for their patients.
