Role: Service Coordinator

Location: Hybrid/ London - Tower Hamlets Newham Barking Dagenham Lewisham and Lambeth

Contract: Fixed Term Contract - 12 months Full Time 37 hours a week (Flexibility is required including travel across delivery locations).

Salary: Up to 36700.00 per annum (according to experience and qualifications) plus London Allowance 3333.00

About the Role

Thanks to funding Action for Children is bringing new employability programmes to London for the very first time opening exciting opportunities in an area where many young people face barriers to employment.

Our service is designed to support those who need it most including care-experienced young people individuals with SEND refugees and asylum seekers those facing homelessness and young people living in poverty. Through personalised support the programme connects participants with training apprenticeships and real career opportunities and take meaningful steps towards a brighter future.

We are looking for an experienced and motivated Service Coordinator to lead and deliver a portfolio of impactful employability and early-intervention programmes supporting children and young people from disadvantaged backgrounds across London.

You will play a key leadership role overseeing programme delivery managing staff and ensuring high-quality support that enables young people to build confidence develop skills and progress into education training and employment.

Youll be at the heart of a dynamic set of youth programmes empowering young people from Year 10 through to age 25. Across schools communities and employer settings youll bring energy and momentum to 1:1 coaching group workshops accredited training and industryled experiences. Your work will help young people boost their confidence discover whats possible break down barriers and take bold steps toward education training and employment. Youll spark ambition open doors and help young people build the skills and selfbelief to thrive.

Working collaboratively with partners funders and stakeholders you will ensure programmes are delivered to a high standard achieve outcomes and continuously improve.

How youll help to create brighter futures

  • Lead and manage a team of practitioners to deliver engaging high-quality programmes to young people.
  • Oversee service delivery ensuring positive outcomes for children and young people based on their assessed needs.
  • Provide direct support and intervention where required including mentoring.
  • Build and maintain strong partnerships with schools employers funders (e.g. corporate partners) and referral agencies.
  • Coordinate programme planning resourcing and delivery.
  • Lead and facilitate multi-agency meetings reviews and stakeholder engagement activity
  • Monitor performance track outcomes and produce reports to inform service improvement.
  • Support evaluation and continuous improvement.
  • Manage delegated budgets and ensure value for money using organisational procedures
  • Ensure safeguarding health and safety and quality standards are consistently met.

Lets talk about you ideally you will have:

  • Significant experience working with children and young people (ideally 1525) particularly those facing barriers to progression.
  • Experience of leading or coordinating services programmes or teams in a youth education or employability setting.
  • Strong understanding of youth development safeguarding and employability pathways.
  • Experience of multi-agency working and relationship building.
  • Ability to manage performance monitor outcomes and produce clear reports
  • Confident in staff supervision coaching and team development
  • Qualification(s) in youth work social care careers guidance or a related field.
