About You
What youll be doing as a Sensory Support Worker:
- Supporting people who have sight hearing or dual sensory impairments out in the community to maintain their independence.
- Assisting with activities such as shopping finance or correspondence accessing sports and leisure facilities or attending health appointments.
To be considered as a Sensory Support Worker youneed:
- A full driving licence.
- Access to a car to travel and transport customers.
- To be a confident driver.
- To be able to work on your own initiative out in the community as well as be able to work as part of an expanding team.
- Enjoy working with people and are keen to enable independence.
Travel required across Essex and potentially London to support with health appointments.
British Sign Language (BSL) skills and/or qualifications would be advantageous to your application. BSL and non-BSL roles available.
