Senior Video Producer

Whether it is a mini-documentary for YouTube and our website or a short-form series optimised for social you will utilise your creativity to implement ways to engage viewers to watch stop audiences from scrolling and create truly compelling video content that is accessible entertaining and relevant to the platforms people use everyday. You will be a confident editorial voice who challenges and educates others on the best use of video (on site on social and on YouTube) and pitch exciting and original ideas daily in a fast paced environment.

This role will involve both leading other video specialists and guiding as well as making content yourself where required. You will help to ensure video content is optimised to drive engagement and audience growth using analytics tools competitor analysis and platform trends to inform editorial and creative decisions.

This is an office based role working 5 days per week from our Liverpool hub. The role will require weekend work and potentially flexible hours during the week this will be discussed at the interview stage.

Qualifications :

Who are we looking for:

• Proven track record of working in a breaking news environment and a strong understanding and practical application of media law. 
• Capable of shooting high-quality video on both phones and DSLR cameras for multi-platform distribution.
• Comfortable presenting on camera and recording voiceovers.
• Highly skilled in Premiere Pro or similar editing software with a sharp eye for how to craft a compelling edit.
• Advanced knowledge of what style of video drives engagement on social media platforms including Facebook TikTok Instagram YouTube (Shorts and Long-form) and X.
• The ability to commission and shape original content to meet relevant video KPIs.
• A keen analytical mind that is constantly looking at high-performing video content both internally and externally to help shape strategy and content decisions.
• Ensure all output adheres to editorial guidelines and legal and copyright standards.
• An NCTJ or BJTC qualification.
