About the role

Joining us as a Senior Support Worker in Stevenage youll work alongside the Locality Manager to provide day-to-day leadership and support to the staff team ensuring high-quality person-centred support is delivered consistently.

Youll support people to build confidence develop independence learn new skills access their community by taking part in activities and do the things that matter most to them. No two days are the same so if you enjoy variety and want a rewarding role where you can make a real difference this could be the perfect opportunity.

Were committed to supporting our colleagues through regular check-ins supervision training and ongoing communication so youll feel supported both personally and professionally.

The shift patterns are (approximately subject to change): 7.15am to 2.45pm 2.45 to 10pm 10pm to 7.15am. We need you to be as flexible as possible to cover these shifts within a small team all dedicated to one person. If you are employed full-time you will work 5 shifts over 7 days.


What were looking for

  • Minimum of 1 years experience working with adults with learning disabilities and/or autism
  • Commitment to empowering people
  • Kind respectful and patient approach
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Confidence to remain calm in difficult situations
  • Flexibility to work evenings weekends bank holidays and sleep-ins on a rota
  • Full UK automatic driving licence is essential for this position (or manual)
