Senior Scientist - Lentiviral Vectors

Revvitys Bioprocessing group pioneer advanced expression platforms that power the manufacturing of next generation biotherapeutics. Job Summary

As a Senior Scientist in our R&D team you will serve as ourlentiviral vectors subject matter expert spearheading the development of Revvitys lentiviral vector offering including supporting further development of our transduction enhancerLentiBOOST.

You will develop cutting-edge vector systems specifically engineered to improve lentiviral vector tropism and transduction efficiency. This role requiresclose collaboration with the Revvity Gene Delivery groupto ensure seamless integration of vector technologies and optimize delivery strategies across therapeutic applications.

This lab-based role requires hands-on expertise and deep knowledge of lentiviral vector biology production and purification with previous experience in engineering lentiviral vectors for delivery of large and complex cargo as well as transduction assays and potency assay development and validation.

Key Responsibilities

Lead independent research projectsfrom design through execution analysis and troubleshooting with meticulous attention to detail

Drive innovationto enhance Revvitys lentiviral vector offering

Support further developmentof the LentiBOOST portfolio

Foster collaborative relationshipsacross Revvity departments (Vectorology and Process Development teams amongst others)

Maintain comprehensive laboratory documentationand develop standard operating procedures

Present clear concise dataat both internal and external meetings

Essential Competencies & Requirements

Ph.D. plus minimum 5 yearsof demonstrated experience in a relevant scientific discipline (virology molecular biology biochemistry or genetics)

Proven track recorddesigning and optimizing lentiviral vectors and purification processes with direct experience in transduction workflows including assay development and optimization

Advanced technical skillsin molecular biology cell biology cell culture and flow cytometry

Strong leadership capabilitieswith ability to drive innovation and scientific excellence

Exceptional team collaboration skillswith strong communication abilities and meticulous attention to detail

Previous experience in envelope protein engineering and pseudo-typing strategies would be a plus.

Previous experience working in Global and commercial environments would be preferred

Demonstrated scientific curiositywith a proactive approach to knowledge development
