Rate: 160170 per day
Were looking for an experienced Senior Science Technician to join a secondary school in Richmond upon Thames.
The school needs someone who can provide high-quality technical support from day one with the opportunity to move into a permanent position. The temporary-to-permanent arrangement gives both parties the chance to make sure the role works well before committing long term.
You will take responsibility for the practical and technical side of the Science Department including:
Preparing practical work for lessons
Supporting Biology Chemistry and Physics
Setting up and dismantling experiments
Maintaining equipment and laboratory resources
Managing stock and ordering supplies
Checking equipment and arranging maintenance
Ensuring safe storage of chemicals
Maintaining laboratory safety standards
Supporting and coordinating other technical staff
Previous secondary school Science Technician experience is required with experience at Senior Technician level preferred.
You should have excellent practical knowledge strong organisational skills and a thorough understanding of laboratory health and safety.
The successful candidate will be someone who can work independently but enjoys being part of a wider Science team.
