A secondary school in Merton is looking for a Senior Science Technician to join its team as soon as possible.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced technician who is looking for a role with responsibility and the potential to secure a permanent position.

Youll help keep the Science Department fully operational ensuring practical lessons are properly resourced and laboratories meet the required safety standards.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Preparing practical equipment and materials

• Supporting teachers with experiments and demonstrations

• Working across Biology Chemistry and Physics

• Maintaining laboratory equipment

• Managing stock and consumables

• Ordering resources and monitoring deliveries

• Safely handling and storing chemicals

• Maintaining prep rooms and laboratories

• Completing equipment and safety checks

• Supporting junior technicians and wider department organisation

Were looking for an experienced Science Technician from a secondary school background who is ready to take on senior-level responsibility.

Youll need to be organised dependable and confident working with scientific equipment and practical materials. A strong understanding of laboratory health and safety is essential.
