Job Summary

Young people have said We want staff who are kind fun and always here for us! We are looking for a Senior Residential Support Worker who can help make our home a safe happy and welcoming place for children and young people aged 818.

Day to Day Life as every day is different!

Youll work closely with the Manager and support the staff and young people. This includes:

Taking part in sleep ins.

Helping with routines and daily living.

Supporting feelings emotions and behaviour.

Planning fun activities and getting involved.

Celebrating achievements big and small.

Some of our young people have faced difficult times and they might have big feelings challenging behaviour or additional needs but they also have incredible strengths. Your job is to help them shine.

In this role you will need to:

Stay overnight (sleep ins) to help keep everyone safe.

Support young people with their daily needs.

Work closely with the Manager.

Support and guide other staff.

Provide supervision to support workers.

We are looking for someone who:

Has experience with children young people or vulnerable adults.

Understands how to support young people who might feel upset or show behaviours which some can say are challenging.

Wants every young person to feel safe cared for and respected.

Understands that all young people have different needs emotional physical social and cultural.

Has good organisational skills and can lead a team.

Can support and guide staff in a calm positive way.

What You should have:

Level 3 or 4 Diploma in Residential Childcare or be willing to work towards it and we will support with this.

Experience working with children or young people.

Understanding of how children grow learn and develop.

A positive caring restorative approach we fix problems together not through punishment.

Motivation and enthusiasm to support young people and families.

Experience supervising staff.

UK driving licence preferred but not essential.

You will need to be able to work evenings weekends bank holidays and nights working with us is a 24/7 team effort but you will always have support around you.
