The role

As a Senior Project Manager you will take a leading role in the successful delivery of complex high-value infrastructure projects that are critical to both nuclear defence and civil decommissioning and fuels programmes. Youll be responsible for ensuring projects are delivered safely efficiently and to the highest quality standards.

This is a full-time position working 37 hours per week. We offer flexible hybrid working patterns with typically 23 days per week onsite alongside occasional travel to other UK locations as required.

Day-to-day youll be required to:

  • Lead governance arrangements establishing clear roles responsibilities and accountabilities across the full project lifecycle
  • Drive project performance through robust financial planning cost control and the effective application of Earned Value Management (EVM) techniques
  • Champion continuous improvement by engaging project teams and adopting innovative tools practices and technologies
  • Ensure the highest standards of health safety security environmental and quality (HSSEQ) compliance across all project activities
  • Manage and inspire multidisciplinary teams spanning engineering procurement and commercial functions to achieve project objectives

Essential experience of the Senior Project Manager:

  • Proven experience delivering major infrastructure projects with values exceeding 50 million
  • A strong track record of managing full Engineering Procurement and Construction (EPC) project lifecycles from concept and design through to construction and commissioning
  • Demonstrated leadership of large multidisciplinary teams (typically 50 people) within complex and highly regulated environments
  • Practical expertise in applying Earned Value Management to enhance project control reporting and decision-making
  • Experience gained within regulated industries such as nuclear defence utilities petrochemical or aerospace sectors

Qualifications for the Senior Project Manager:

  • Project Management certification or accreditation (such as Association for Project Management or Project Management Institute) is advantageous
