At Eni we are looking for a Senior Products Operations Specialist to join Eni Trade & Biofuels (ETB) in London. You will work closely with traders analysts and other operators within the products team to manage the day to day trading operations activities for the relevant commodities.
This role offers unparalleled exposure to the full commodity trading lifecycle through close collaboration with our Oil & Freight Trading Shipping Operations Scheduling Credit Middle Office Back Office Insurance Legal Finance and Contract teams. A degree of flexibility is expected to enable knowledge sharing with various members of the operations team and to provide cover when required. Some out of hours work may be necessary subject to business needs.

ETB is the crude oil refined oil products and biofuels trading and shipping company of Eni. We are a diverse and dynamic team of around 300 professionals distributed in three offices (Rome London and Singapore) with the addition in Houston of Eni Trading & Shipping Inc. Main responsibilities
- Managing the daytoday trading operations activities for oil commodities.
- Managing key documentation including proforma invoices vessel nominations letters of credit provisional and final cargo insurance narrowing/nomination of dates and quantities and vessel clearance.
- Supporting the demurrage and cost management teams with ancillary costs such as demurrage freight differentials deviation costs and deadfreight and assisting with resolutions.
- Liaising with inspection companies regarding cargo quality and quantity controls.
- Updating the companys position and ensuring that all systems contain the latest data for all cargoes.
- Building and maintaining good working relationships with internal Eni stakeholders to ensure the efficiency of operational activities as well as with external stakeholders such as terminals inspection companies and other counterparties.
- Ensuring full compliance with internal controls and external requirements (REACH customs etc.).
- Managing storage locations including stock reconciliations.
- Working with the sanctions team to protect Enis interests.
Skills and experience required
- A university degree in a numerate discipline.
- More than five years experience in a similar role focused on European product operations.
- A strong understanding of the oiltrading lifecycle.
- A solid understanding of trading and shipping operations activities (e.g. cargo time charters voyage charters quality and quantity controls storage).
- A strong understanding of REACH compliance.
- Experience in managing storage and blending would be beneficial.
- Excellent communication and stakeholdermanagement skills with the ability to build effective relationships both internally and externally.
- Strong teamwork skills; experience working in an international organisation would be advantageous.
- A positive attitude and a proactive resultsoriented approach with strong organisational skills.
- Fluency in English; knowledge of Italian would be an advantage.
