Senior Practice Accountant
Job Summary
This is an excellent opportunity to join an ambitious and progressive accountancy practice that provides a broad range of services to owner managed businesses across a variety of sectors.
You will work in a general practice capacity providing accounts and tax services to a diverse client base. As your role develops you will have the opportunity to build and manage your own portfolio while becoming involved in advisory projects and other value added services.
- Preparing statutory accounts for limited companies sole traders and partnerships
- Preparing corporation tax and personal tax returns
- Managing relationships with a varied portfolio of owner managed businesses
- Liaising with clients and responding to accounting and tax queries
- Supporting and reviewing the work of junior team members
- Assisting with bookkeeping VAT and management accounts where required
- Identifying opportunities to provide additional support and advisory services
- Working closely with the partners and managers on ad hoc assignments
- ACA or ACCA qualified part qualified or qualified by experience
- Previous experience working within an accountancy practice
- Strong accounts preparation and tax experience
- Excellent communication and client management skills
- A proactive and commercially minded approach
- The ambition to develop your own client portfolio and progress within the firm
- Salary of 45000 to 55000 depending on experience
- 25 days annual leave plus bank holidays

Required Skills:
Preferably qualified ACA/ACCA or by experience. 5-10 years experience within an accountancy practice experience. Experience preparing accounts and tax returns. Experience of QuickBooks Xero or Sage would be advantageous.
