TPF Recruitment is recruiting for an Accounts & Tax Semi Senior to join a fast growing independent accountancy practice based in Margate.
This is a great opportunity for someone with existing practice experience looking to develop their accounts and tax skills within a growing firm. Youll work closely with experienced colleagues take on increasing responsibility and gain exposure to a varied client portfolio.
As an Accounts & Tax Semi Senior youll support clients with accounts preparation tax compliance bookkeeping and VAT. The position offers a broad grounding in general practice making it a good next step for someone keen to build their experience.
As an Accounts & Tax Semi Senior your responsibilities will include:
- Preparing year end accounts for sole traders partnerships and limited companies ready for senior review.
- Preparing corporation tax computations and assisting with company tax returns.
- Assisting with personal tax returns and related compliance work.
- Completing bookkeeping and preparing VAT returns.
- Liaising with clients to obtain information and resolve routine queries.
- Maintaining accurate working papers and client records.
- Working with senior colleagues to complete assignments within agreed deadlines.
- Taking on more responsibility as your skills and experience develop.
To be considered for this Accounts & Tax Semi Senior opportunity youll have:
- Previous experience within an accountancy practice.
- Experience assisting with year end accounts preparation and tax work.
- A working knowledge of bookkeeping and VAT.
- Confidence using accountancy software.
- Good attention to detail and an organised approach to your workload.
- Clear communication skills and the ability to work well with clients and colleagues.
- A willingness to learn and develop your technical knowledge.
This Accounts & Tax Semi Senior role could suit someone already working at Semi Senior level or an Accounts Assistant ready to progress into a broader practice position.
- 30000 to 45000 depending on experience.

Required Skills:
Preferably qualified ACA/ACCA or by experience. 5-10 years experience within an accountancy practice experience. Experience preparing accounts and tax returns. Experience of QuickBooks Xero or Sage would be advantageous.
