What will you be doing

General Summary
The Senior Platform Engineer is responsible for designing building and maintaining the platform infrastructure that supports software applications services and internal tools. This role requires advanced expertise in cloud computing automation containerisation scalability and security and focuses on creating a stable scalable and efficient environment for development teams. The Senior Platform Engineer plays a critical role in ensuring that the platform architecture aligns with business needs and operational requirements

What will you bring

• Design build and maintain scalable secure and reliable cloud platform infrastructure.
• Manage cloud services across compute storage and networking with a focus on performance cost efficiency and resilience.
• Develop and maintain Infrastructure as Code and automation to support effective provisioning and platform management.
• Build and improve CI/CD pipelines to enable smoother safer and more efficient software releases.
• Implement monitoring logging and performance improvements to support operational excellence and customer experience.
• Work collaboratively with Development Security DevSecOps and Operations teams to deliver platform solutions aligned to business needs.
• Champion security best practice access controls and compliance standards across cloud platforms.
• Support incident response troubleshooting and continuous improvement to minimise downtime and improve reliability.
• Mentor and support other engineers sharing knowledge and helping to build technical capability across the team.

• Strong experience in platform engineering DevOps platform management or a similar IT engineering role.
• Hands-on experience managing cloud infrastructure at scale ideally with Azure AWS or GCP.
• Good knowledge of cloud services including compute storage networking serverless architecture virtualisation and containerisation.
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code automation and scripting tools such as Terraform Azure DevOps Services Git PowerShell Bash or Python.
• Experience building or managing CI/CD pipelines using tools such as Jenkins GitLab CircleCI or similar.
• Familiarity with monitoring and logging tools such as Prometheus Grafana or the ELK stack.
• A strong understanding of security principles compliance frameworks and DevOps practices in cloud environments.
• Clear communication skills with the confidence to work across engineering product security and operations teams.
• A proactive analytical and continuous improvement mindset with a passion for delivering high-quality solutions for customers.
