Senior Planning Technician
Job Summary
We are working closely alongside a Local Authority in Lewishamto assist with the appointment of a Senior Planning Technician on a 6-month contract highly likely to be extended at clients discretion. Please apply with your CV for immediate consideration.
Rate of Pay: 21.14 - 27.87 per hour
Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Senior Planning Technician to provide technical administrative and operational support across the Planning Service. The role will focus on managing planning complaints coordinating FOI/EIR requests supporting financial administration maintaining accurate planning records and contributing to service improvement initiatives. You will play a key role in ensuring high standards of customer service information governance and performance management.
Responsibilities:
- Manage the end-to-end administration of planning service complaints ensuring responses are coordinated quality assured and issued within required timescales.
- Coordinate and respond to FOI EIR and information requests maintaining compliance with statutory deadlines and information governance requirements.
- Support financial administration including income monitoring cost recovery purchase orders invoice processing debt recovery reconciliations and management reporting.
- Undertake redaction of sensitive and confidential documents in line with GDPR Council policies and relevant legislation.
- Provide technical support across the Planning Service including validation and consultation processes where required.
Qualifications:
- Educated to A-Level standard or equivalent qualification/experience.
Essentials:
- Experience managing complaints enquiries or customer service cases within a complex service environment.
- Experience coordinating and responding to FOI EIR or information requests.
- Strong administrative and organisational skills with excellent attention to detail.
- Experience supporting financial administration including purchase orders invoices reconciliations and reporting.
- Ability to analyse information identify trends and produce performance reports.
