We are looking for a Senior Marketing Planning Manager who thrives at the intersection of content data strategy and portfolio planning across 24 countries. This is not a traditional marketing role its a strategic planning role that shapes how Prime Video International markets and invests in paid marketing across Europe Latin America and Canada. You will own planning frameworks investment strategies and inspection cycles that determine where when and how Prime Video shows up for customers around the world. This isnt just about paid media but how the full-funnel of marketing (including our own Amazon touchpoints) interact together and how this differs across different countries.

This role sits within the PVI Marketing Planning & Strategy team working cross-functionally with Brand Management ATL Media Social & Creators Programming Performance Marketing and Finance to deliver and shape PVIs approach to title-level and portfolio-level marketing planning.


Key job responsibilities
Own the Planning Engine:
- Lead development and maintenance of PVIs portfolio plan coordinating inputs from Brand Management ATL Media Social Programming and Finance to produce an integrated marketing investment plan
- Translate content strategy and business goals into investment decisions across countries channels and campaign types
- Reconcile top-down investment guardrails with bottom-up media cost realities and title-level campaign needs
- Manage country-level annual views for assigned geographies serving as the single-threaded planning owner for international markets

Drive In-Year Inspection & Optimization:
- Own inspection mechanisms across the planning cycle surfacing risks flagging execution gaps and recommending course corrections to senior leadership
- Track spend against plan and coordinate quarterly guidance updates with PVI Strategy & Finance
- Support portfolio laydown reviews ensuring execution stays aligned to strategic intent

Shape Title & Campaign Investment Strategy:
- Lead strategic deep-dives developing planning principles for key release types that inform investment frameworks
- Develop planning briefs drilling into title-specific campaign strategy for ATL and Brand teams
- Partner with Brand and Studios to understand content strengths and risks determining support levels across PVI
- Partner with Performance Marketing to bridge paid media planning audience strategy and business outcomes

Advance Cross-Functional Alignment & Communication:
- Serve as the central point of contact for Brand Management across countries ensuring clarity of campaign definition timeline and investment rationale
- Collaborate with Social & Creators to improve integrated planning and reduce gaps in title-level visibility
- Write and present high-quality documents translating complex planning trade-offs into clear strategic narratives
- Develop scalable mechanisms and automated tooling that enable Planning and parallel functions to operate efficiently
- Leverage content insights customer data learnings and industry changes to identify and implement new marketing strategies

A day in the life
You might start the day adjusting a portfolio laydown after a title date shifts or new signals came in suggesting marketing approach needs to change flagging the budget impact to Finance and updating Brand Management. By mid-morning youre presenting a planning brief for a Global Tentpole aligning ATL Social and Media teams on investment strategy and country the afternoon youre building the quarterly inspection document pulling updated content social and testing performance signals and translating them into investment recommendations for leadership. Throughout the week youre the planning point of contact the connective tissue between marketing strategy content finance and execution.

About the team
The PVI Marketing Planning team is the central strategic arm of Prime Video Internationals marketing organization. We set the investment strategy for how PVI markets its content across Europe Latin America and Canada connecting content and brand ambition with commercial rigour. We own the integrated view of what we invest in across channels (paid earned or owned) where and why. We sit at the centre of a cross-functional ecosystem working across Brand Management ATL Media Social Programming and Finance and we thrive on turning ambiguity into clarity and strategy into action.

- Experience building executing and scaling cross-functional marketing programs
- Experience developing and executing campaigns across a multitude of timezones and languages
- Experience in marketing or marketing research
- Experience using data and metrics to measure impact and determine improvements
- Experience presenting metrics and progress to goal to senior leadership
- Experience communicating results to senior leadership
- Experience with test and learn marketing optimization and experimentation
- Experience designing and executing joint marketing plans with strategic alliance partners with global footprint

- Experience with Excel or Tableau (data manipulation macros charts and pivot tables)
