Your role and responsibilities
In this role you will support Suffolk residents from children and young people travelling safely to school and college to vulnerable adults accessing essential services and communities connected by public transport.
You will design and manage transport networks working with colleagues partners and operators to deliver efficient reliable and good-value services across Suffolk. Each day you will solve problems build relationships and make practical decisions that keep Suffolk moving.
You will need
Youll bring experience in transport planning contract management or a similar environment alongside strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Just as importantly youll be someone who:
- enjoys working collaboratively to solve complex challenges
- can confidently manage supplier relationships and influence outcomes
- thinks creatively and looks for ways to improve services
- has strong attention to detail and can work with data and systems effectively
- is motivated by making a positive difference to the residents of Suffolk.

The team
You wont be working in isolation. Youll be part of a highly collaborative operational team where together; youll deliver a service that supports over 2000 routes and works with hundreds of operators across Suffolk. Youll also be working alongside other Passenger Transport colleagues (i.e. compliance entitlement and finance teams) as well as
- Children and Young People Services colleagues.
- Adult Social Care colleagues.
- Corporate teams including procurement and legal services.
