The Role

As a Senior Mechanical Engineer youll play a key role in the design and delivery of mechanical building services projects across a diverse portfolio of residential commercial and mixed-use developments. Youll take ownership of projects from concept through to completion working closely with clients architects and multidisciplinary design teams to deliver innovative sustainable and practical engineering solutions.

Responsibilities

• Lead the mechanical building services design and delivery of projects across the residential commercial and mixed-use sectors.
• Manage projects through all RIBA stages from feasibility and concept design through to construction.
• Design and specify HVAC heating cooling ventilation domestic water services and other mechanical building services systems.
• Produce and review technical calculations specifications reports and detailed design drawings.
• Liaise with clients architects contractors and fellow MEP engineers throughout project delivery.
• Mentor and support Graduate and Intermediate Engineers providing technical guidance and development.
• Carry out site visits surveys and inspections to monitor project progress and ensure design compliance.
• Ensure all designs comply with current UK Building Regulations CIBSE guidance and industry best practice.

About You

• Degree qualified in Mechanical Engineering or Building Services Engineering.
• Significant experience working within a building services consultancy.
• Proven experience delivering mechanical building services designs across residential commercial and mixed-use developments.
• Strong technical knowledge of HVAC and mechanical building services design alongside UK Building Regulations and CIBSE guidance.
• Proficient in industry-standard software such as AutoCAD Revit IES VE Hevacomp or similar design packages.
• Excellent communication and client-facing skills.
• Chartered Engineer status or working towards Chartership (MCIBSE or equivalent) is desirable.
• A collaborative approach with a passion for mentoring junior engineers and delivering high-quality engineering solutions.
