What your days will look like:
Develop and implement robust/repeatable manufacturing processes
Ownership/responsibility of process/equipment throughout the Product Value Stream
Design for Excellence (DfX) Analysis and collaboration with Design teams
Identify expedite and / or escalate any quality or performance issues
Achieve On Time Delivery targets
Effective use of manufacturing data and analysis techniques to proactively identify and address issues driving systemic Root Cause/Corrective Action
Report and maintain Process/Equipment Engineering metrics track performance & yields against team KPIs and Individual Goals & Objectives
Drive continuous improvements through the use of Best in Class and World Class Manufacturing principles
The skills and experience were looking for:
High performance Engineer and self-starter
Strong knowledge of electronics manufacturing processes over a wide range of technologies and production platforms (CCA HLA etc.)
Experience working in a high reliability electronic assembly environment (Defense / Medical / Aerospace). Applicants from a Commercial Electronics background are also encouraged to apply.
Can demonstrate contribution to specific improvements in Production Programs effectiveness efficiency and optimization
Can lead / participate in process FMEA Control Plan Process flow development review and risk mitigation processes
Experienced in SPC OEE ESD COSHH & Risk Assessment
Understands the principles of 6 Sigma (or equivalent methodology) and Lean Manufacturing
Knowledge and experience of Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) and Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES)
Familiarity with IPC-A-610 guidelines (including recent revision updates)
Minimum of HNC in an electronics related subject (HND/Degree preferred). Relevant industry experience will also be considered
Desirable but not essential for this role: Experience in developing/supporting processes such as Stencil design Screen printing Jet dispensing SPI SMT placement Reflow oven profiling AOI AXI MXI PTH Selective/Wave Solder Wet processes Underfill rework processes.

Work Culture:
37hr working week although hours may vary depending on role job requirement or site-specific arrangements.

Up to 5 paid days volunteering each year
