Job Summary
Our Senior Finance Manager is looking to recruit an outstanding Senior Management Accountant to join their high performing team based in Smethwick. Your primary responsibilities will be to ensure that all Group Financial Reporting and Sustainable Development reporting are completed on time and to an exceptional standard.
Key Tasks/Areas of Responsibility
- Preparation of timely and accurate monthly financial reporting to Geopost SA via the group consolidation package SAP BFC.
- Preparation of monthly report providing insight into the financial result and key KPIs.
- Support the SFM in the annual budget process ensuring forecasts and budgets are submitted to group accurately and on time.
- Monthly reporting on customer gains and losses.
- Calculate and submit carbon emissions into the Group reporting system.
- Prepare reports on carbon emissions to track improvements and progress of sustainability projects.
- Preparation of weekly and monthly Management Accounts for the Sales overheads function.
- Carry out such duties as may be reasonably requested by the Company.
Qualifications :
About You
Ideally you will be a commercially astute and fully qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA) with at least 12 months post qualification practical experience. We would also expect you to hold a minimum of a 2:1 degree in any discipline and Grade C or above GCSE (or equivalent) in Maths and English.
You will have a right first time mentality and a solid grasp of management accounting principles/ practices. Strong financial awareness experience of group reporting and the ability to monitor your performance against deadlines and milestones is critical
Youll also be able to evidence:
- Proven experience of operating at a senior management accountant or equivalent level role coupled with the know-how and confidence to present clear and simple results.
- Outstanding analytical skills and attention to detail: able to analyse numerical data verbal data and all other sources of information quickly and effectively.
- Have good planning and organisational skills and the ability to meet multiple deadlines.
- Advanced Excel plus a good knowledge of reporting tools.
- First rate communication and interpersonal skills
