  BGEN is one of the UKs largest multidisciplinary design and build contractors with over 100 years of industry experience. We support clients in the Water Power & Energy Pharmaceutical Nuclear and Food and Beverage industries to deliver next generation value-added engineering solutions.
  
  What youll be doing

  Design Local Exhaust Ventilation (LEV) systems in compliance with HSG258 COSHH CDM and Safe by Design principles. Produce feasibility preliminary and detailed engineering designs including capture hoods extraction arms enclosures ductwork fans filtration systems dust collectors and discharge stacks. Perform airflow velocity duct sizing pressure loss fan duty and system balancing calculations to develop efficient and effective ventilation solutions. Prepare and manage technical documentation including drawings P&IDs equipment schedules specifications risk assessments calculation reports commissioning records O&M manuals and as-built documentation. Conduct site surveys assess process hazards and verify existing systems to support design development. Participate in design reviews HAZID and HAZOP workshops ensuring hazards are identified and mitigated throughout the design lifecycle. Provide technical support during installation commissioning and handover review test data and performance reports respond to technical queries and ensure all designs meet regulatory safety and performance requirements.

  
  

  What youll bring

  • Degree in Mechanical or Building Services Engineering
  • BOHS P601 P602 P603 and P604 qualifiactions
  • 5 years plus LEV Design Experience
  • Membership of BOHS CIBSE or IMechE
  • AUTO CAD
  • Excel-based engineering calculations
  • CFD Modeling Software
