Senior Infrastructure Engineer - Somerset - Highest Security Clearance Needed - 600 P/Day Outside IR35

Were working with a specialist digital innovation partner delivering secure mission-critical technology to Defence and National Security organisations. Youll join a team tackling complex infrastructure challenges across highly secure environments working alongside engineers architects and delivery specialists.

As a Senior Infrastructure Engineer youll help design build and deliver secure digital solutions supporting critical operations.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Configuring and hardening Cisco Nexus Leaf/Spine architectures for high-throughput low-latency traffic.
• Initialising and presenting NetApp storage arrays ensuring data-at-rest encryption is enforced.
• Building and hardening Hyper-V clusters supporting core services such as AD DNS and PKI.
• Supporting the enablement and integration of VMware Cloud Foundation (VCF) private cloud environments.
• Initialising and managing HSM/KMS appliances including leading key ceremonies within high-assurance environments.
• Carrying out professional rack-and-stack and secure cabling in accordance with high physical-security standards.

Were particularly interested in engineers with experience across:

• Cisco Nexus or equivalent networking technologies.
• NetApp ONTAP or equivalent enterprise storage.
• Deploying Hyper-V in high-availability high-security environments.
• VMware Cloud Foundation (VCF 5).
• Hardware-based cryptographic systems such as HSM/KMS.
• Windows Server 2022/2025.
• Secure infrastructure environments and physical infrastructure builds.

Due to the secure nature of the role and working environment candidates must hold the highest level of UK Security Clearance.
