Senior Fundraising & Engagement Manager (12-Month Fixed Term Contract)

Charity People is delighted to be partnering with YoungMinds to recruit a Senior Fundraising & Engagement Manager on an initial 12-month fixed term contract.

At a time when the mental health of children and young people has never been more important YoungMinds is leading the movement to ensure that no young person feels alone with their mental health.

This is a brilliant opportunity to join one of the UKs most influential charities and play a leading role in growing supporter engagement and building lasting relationships with the thousands of individuals schools communities and event participants who champion the YoungMinds mission every year.

• Location: Hybrid working with 2 days per week in the London Bridge office
• Salary: 50898 - 56554 per annum
• Annual leave: 25 days per annum plus 8 bank holidays and an additional 3 days office closure over the Christmas period. (The 3 working days between Boxing Day (26 Dec) and New Years Day (1 Jan).
• Pension: You will be automatically enrolled into the governments NEST Pension provider and pay 3% of your qualifying earnings. The charity pays 5%.

As demand for support continues to grow YoungMinds is looking for an ambitious and strategic Senior Fundraising & Engagement Manager to join the team initially on a 12-month fixed term contract. This is an exciting opportunity to lead a thriving supporter fundraising programme while bringing fresh ideas identifying new opportunities for growth and helping shape the future of supporter engagement at YoungMinds.

The Opportunity

Reporting to the Head of Public Fundraising youll lead a talented team responsible for supporter-led fundraising across community fundraising schools challenge events in-memory giving and legacy marketing.

Youll have scope to identify opportunities for growth around our community events programme and help shape the next generation of fundraising activity that will deliver sustainable income for YoungMinds.

Alongside building on strong foundations in areas such as community fundraising and legacy giving youll have the opportunity to drive forward our challenge events programme explore emerging trends across the sector and develop innovative supporter fundraising products that engage new audiences and drive income growth.

Working closely with colleagues across Public Fundraising Philanthropy and Partnerships youll identify new opportunities for collaboration maximise the value of YoungMinds exceptional corporate partnerships and bring teams together to create integrated fundraising initiatives that achieve more than any one team could deliver alone.

About You

Were looking for a collaborative and commercially minded fundraising leader who combines strategic thinking with strong operational delivery.

Youll bring:

• Significant experience leading community supporter or mass participation fundraising programmes.
• A track record of growing income participation and supporter engagement.
• Experience managing and developing high-performing teams.
• Strong project and budget management skills.
• An understanding of supporter journeys stewardship and lifetime value.
• Experience developing new fundraising products and bringing new ideas to market.
• The ability to use insight data and performance metrics to inform decision making.
• Excellent relationship-building and stakeholder management skills.

Most importantly youll be motivated by the opportunity to help YoungMinds reach more supporters grow income and create lasting change for young peoples mental health.
