Senior Financial Analyst, Amazon Ads EU Sales Finance

Are you energized by turning complex data into clear actionable insights that shape business decisions As a Senior Financial Analyst at Amazon Ads you will build financial models and reports that answer critical business questions influence leadership decision-making and strengthen financial integrity. The successful candidate will join Video Audio and Open Internet Finance team as part of Amazon Ads EU Sales Finance team. They will work on forecasting performance analysis of our growing Open Internet and AdTech business partner across multiple teams to uncover new opportunities and build new solutions to automate and scale our finance processes.

Key job responsibilities
Partner with Advertising Sales teams and the wider business to provide financial insight challenge assumptions and support informed business decision-making.
Develop forward-looking analyses and initiatives that identify growth opportunities improve business performance and support the continued scaling of the organisation.
Act as a trusted finance partner by highlighting key risks opportunities and blockers that may impact quarterly and annual business goals.
Evaluate revenue optimisation opportunities and support strategic programmes aimed at improving productivity operational efficiency and business performance.
Partner with cross-functional teams to assess growth opportunities across Amazon DSP and the Open Internet translating commercial initiatives into financial insights and recommendations.
Drive improvements in financial mechanisms processes reporting and analytical tools to support a growing and evolving business.
Co-author high-visibility business reviews and strategic reporting for senior management clearly communicating financial performance key drivers risks and opportunities.
Use data and systems such as Salesforce SQL and Tableau to identify trends generate actionable insights and support management decision-making.
Maintain strong financial controllership while continuously identifying opportunities to simplify automate and improve existing processes.

About the team
Amazon Ads operates at the intersection of advertising and eCommerce offering a broad range of innovative advertising solutions across Amazons mobile and desktop experiences proprietary devices and demand-side platform (DSP). We are building new capabilities in an important area of future growth for Amazon. Our teams are entrepreneurial have a strong bias for action and operate with a broad mandate to experiment innovate and develop scalable solutions.

The EU Ads Sales Finance team sits at the centre of this growth providing analytical and financial leadership for initiatives that help European advertisers unlock the full potential of Amazon DSP across the Open Internet. We partner closely with Sales Go-To-Market Ad Tech and Supply teams to translate data into actionable insights and support senior leadership decision-making.

- Bachelors degree in Finance Mathematics or Economics
- Experience in tax finance or a related analytical field
- Experience applying key financial performance indicators (KPIs) to analyses
- Can demonstrate strong numerical and analytical skills
- Can demonstrate proficiency in Microsoft Excel or equivalent spreadsheet tools

- Professional accounting qualification (e.g. ACA ACCA CIMA CPA or equivalent)
- Experience participating in continuous improvement projects in your team to scale and improve controllership with measurable results
- Experience working with large-scale data mining and reporting tools (examples: SQL MS Access Essbase Cognos) and other financial systems (examples: Oracle SAP Lawson JD Edwards)
- Experience working with stakeholders
- Experience developing financial models in Excel with advanced functions (pivot tables macros VBA Power Query)
