Senior Family Law Solicitor Belfast
The Opportunity
We are delighted to be working with a well-established Belfast law firm to recruit a Senior Family Solicitor to lead and manage its growing family law department.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced solicitor with a minimum of 5 years PQE to take ownership of a busy family law practice including high-value and complex cases while shaping the strategic direction of the department.
The role offers exposure to a broad range of family law matters including private client disputes divorce custody pre- and post-nuptial agreements and financial settlements providing significant leadership and client-facing responsibilities.

The Role
You will:
- Lead the family law department
- Act on complex family law matters including divorce custody guardianship financial settlements and international cases
- Build and maintain client relationships and develop new business opportunities
- Manage departmental workflow and ensure consistent quality and compliance in case handling
The Person
The ideal candidate will have:
- Minimum of 5 years PQE in family law
- Experience leading a team or supervising junior solicitors preferred
- Strong advocacy experience in County or High Court family proceedings
- Excellent drafting negotiation and advisory skills
- Commercial awareness and ability to manage competing priorities
