We are seeking an experienced and purpose-driven Senior Engagement Manager to play a pivotal role in advancing our responsible investment ambitions. Sitting at the heart of our ESG Engagement function this role offers the opportunity to shape and lead engagement activity across different asset classes driving meaningful change on the issues that matter most.
As a strategic leader and trusted partner to our investment teams you will oversee firm-wide engagement activity ensuring it is coordinated evidenced and aligned to clear objectives. You will lead the Engagement Delivery Group champion best practice and help evolve our engagement approach through enhanced processes tools and reporting.
This is a high-impact role for someone passionate about using stewardship and engagement as a force for positive changeparticularly across key social themeswhile working in close collaboration with colleagues to deliver on our shared responsible investment goals.
About the role
Contribute to the RLAM Responsible Investment strategy
Support Front Office teams in engaging with companies across all asset classes
Lead and support a team of analysts and specific engagement projects in collaboration with fund managers and RI team
Lead the Engagement Delivery Group across all investment teams to ensure it is effective
Support RLAMs escalation framework monitor the progress of firm-wide engagement programs against objectives and milestones and follow up with off-track engagement projects
Oversee RLAM-wide engagement documentation and evidence the central Engagement Tracker as well as any developments it requires (e.g. buy or build evolution of the platform)
Provide subject matter expertise on ESG engagement issues and topics with a particular focus on social issues
Produce regular engagement reports updates blogs and thought leadership pieces for internal and external use
About you
Strong ESG experience alongside stewardship and engagement
Educated to degree level with a background in social sciences and/or human rights
Project management experience
Line management experience
Strong analytical writing and presentation skills
Confident communicator with a positive attitude
Ability to work in growing and dynamic team within a matrix structure lots of competing priorities and some remote working
Capable of building strong relationships with Fund Managers and investment analysts
Highly motivated to develop professionally
