Working within the Insights Guidance and Control (IGC) Cell youll turn complex data into actionable intelligence support senior leaders with critical decisions and help shape the future of collective training across the Army.

Job Description:

Permanent role - 37.5 hours a week
Hybrid role with 2 or 3 days a week in Warminster

Due to the nature of this role you must be eligible for UK Security Clearance at BPSS level.

What youll be doing

• Analyse training safety and operational data to identify trends risks opportunities and actionable insights.
• Collect validate and maintain data from multiple sources to ensure accurate and reliable reporting.
• Develop and enhance dashboards reports and visualisations that support senior decision-making and operational readiness.
• Identify opportunities to improve efficiency through automation standardisation and better reporting processes.
• Work with stakeholders to understand business needs and translate them into meaningful analytical outputs.
• Act as a subject matter expert providing guidance on analytics tools reporting best practice and data-driven decision making.
• Mentor colleagues and promote high standards of analytical quality consistency and continuous improvement.
• Present findings clearly through reports presentations and briefings while ensuring data security confidentiality and compliance.

Essential Skills/Experience/Qualifications

• Appropriate Qualification in a data-related subject (such as Data Science Statistics Mathematics Computer Science or Business Analytics) or equivalent practical experience.
• Proven experience in a Senior Data Analyst Business Intelligence or data-focused analytical role within a complex organisation.
• Strong skills in collecting cleansing validating analysing and interpreting data from multiple sources.
• Advanced experience creating dashboards reports and visualisations using Power BI and Excel.
• Good understanding of data modelling databases data architecture and data quality management principles.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to identify trends explain performance and provide evidence-based recommendations.
• Knowledge of AI-enabled analytics data pipelines and the data requirements needed to support AI solutions.
• Experience mentoring colleagues and confidently communicating technical findings to both technical and non-technical audiences.

About ACTS (Army Collective Training Service)

The OMNIA Training consortium brings together five leading UK defence training organisations: Capita Raytheon Rheinmetall Cervus and Skyral. As the British Armys Strategic Training Partner (STP) OMNIA has a clear mission: to transform collective training over the next 15 years and deliver world-class training for the British Army.

Working with the Land Warfare Centre (LWC) OMNIA will schedule plan design deliver and assure collective training across the Armys Collective Training System (ACTS) while also delivering the Collective Training Transformation Programme (CTTP). This generational opportunity will enable more relevant challenging and safe training helping the British Army to fight and win. Central to this mission is the ability to set and measure training performance against requirements assure operational readiness and capture associated training and safety risks.
