About the Role
Defence IQ is seeking an experienced and commercially minded Senior Conference Producer to join our growing events team in London. This is an exciting opportunity to produce high-level conferences and networking events focused on the global defence sector.
As a Senior Conference Producer you will take ownership of the full event production lifecycle from market research and agenda creation through to speaker acquisition project management and onsite event delivery. You will work closely with senior military leaders government stakeholders and industry executives to create cutting-edge content that delivers real value to our audiences.
This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced commercial events environment enjoys building relationships with senior stakeholders and has a passion for developing market-leading conference programmes.

Key Responsibilities
- Produce and deliver 34 large-scale commercial events annually
- Conduct in-depth telephone and web-based market research to identify key industry trends challenges and opportunities within the defence sector
- Develop compelling conference agendas and educational content tailored to senior-level audiences
- Recruit high-profile C-level military and government speakers
- Collaborate closely with sales marketing and operations teams to ensure commercial success and exceptional event delivery
- Manage conferences from concept through to execution owning timelines content strategy and event vision
- Write engaging promotional copy and conference materials that drive delegate attendance and sponsorship interest
- Deliver conferences onsite ensuring a high-quality customer experience
- Travel domestically and internationally to support and represent Defence IQ at events across Europe and the US

Essential
- 23 years experience in commercial or civil conference production
- Proven ability to manage multiple events simultaneously while meeting deadlines
- Strong project management and organisational skills
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities
- Strong copywriting skills with the ability to create engaging and commercially compelling content
- Self-motivated proactive and highly organised
- Intellectually curious with a genuine interest in learning about complex global issues and emerging trends
- Collaborative team player with strong leadership potential
- Creative mindset with a passion for innovation and continuously improving event quality
