Senior Civil Design Engineer Water & Wastewater AMP8

Role description:

• Take a lead role on civil design and/or packages of work
• Excellent communication skills
• Liaise with other disciplines and coordinate designs with team members and supply chain
• Liaison with client the supply chain and other project stakeholders
• Preparation of high-quality design drawings and associated other Construction-Ready documentation
• Preparation of clear and well-structured design calculations reports drawings and other deliverables
• Work in accordance with our Business Management processes and procedures
• Assist in achieving wider business goals for positive Safety Health Quality and Sustainability outcomes
• Promote a culture of innovation and fostering continuous improvement
• Develop hands-on experience of commercial programme and financial matters
• Mentor and support the development of less experienced members of staff

• Degree in Civil Engineering or other directly related degree
• Chartered or Incorporated Engineer status and membership of a professional institution such as ICE CIWEM IWO
• Strong technical design experience on water projects
• Good working knowledge and understanding of Water Industry Clients and Contractors
• Good delf-motivation influencing and people management skills
• Knowledge and experience of BIM led design anddigital tools such as REVIT / Civils 3D
• Good working knowledge and understanding of the applicable British Standards UK Industry Codes of Practice and Water Specifications.
