The Senior Change Management Specialist is responsible for developing and delivering end to end change management plans and activities on projects and programs that enable successful implementation of strategic business initiatives across Canada Life.

Working closely with project teams business leaders and stakeholders this role assesses change impacts develops stakeholder engagement and readiness plans and activities and supports adoption and sustainment outcomes. It applies change management methodology and best practices to deliver change activities for assigned projects and programs while contributing to the continuous improvement of the change management practice.

What You Will Do

Change Planning & Execution

  • Develop and execute change management strategies and plans for assigned projects and initiatives.
  • Conduct change impact assessments to identify stakeholder process technology and organizational impacts.
  • Develop and implement stakeholder engagement change readiness communication training adoption and sustainment activities in collaboration with project and program teams.
  • Partner with project teams to integrate change management activities into project plans and delivery schedules.
  • Monitor project progress and adjust change activities to support evolving business needs.

Stakeholder Support & Engagement

  • Build effective working relationships with business stakeholders project teams and subject matter experts.
  • Support stakeholder analysis and engagement activities to increase awareness commitment and adoption.
  • Facilitate meetings workshops and focus groups to gather feedback and address change-related concerns.
  • Provide guidance to leaders and stakeholders on change management practices and tools.

Readiness Adoption & Sustainment

  • Assess organizational readiness and identify risks resistance points and adoption barriers.
  • Support the development and execution of change management plans for readiness adoption and sustainment.
  • Collect and analyze stakeholder feedback adoption metrics and change performance indicators.
  • Contribute to benefits realization tracking and reporting activities.
  • Recommend actions to improve engagement adoption and sustainment outcomes.

Practice Development & Continuous Improvement

  • Contribute to the development and enhancement of change management methodology templates tools and standards.
  • Apply lessons learned and best practices across projects and teams.
  • Support knowledge transfer and capability-building activities within the Change Management team.
  • Stay current on industry trends change management practices and emerging approaches.

What You Will Bring

  • Experience developing and delivering change management plans and activities within complex business environments.
  • Knowledge of change management principles methodology and best practices.
  • Strong communication stakeholder engagement facilitation and relationship management skills.
  • Ability to assess change impacts and translate findings into practical change plans and actions.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines simultaneously.
  • Analytical and problem-solving capabilities with a focus on measurable business outcomes.
  • Experience working on business transformation technology operational or process improvement initiatives.
  • Financial services insurance or large-scale transformation experience is an asset.

Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree in Business Human Resources Organizational Development Psychology Communications or a related field.
  • 5 years of experience in change management business transformation organisational effectiveness project delivery or related disciplines.
  • Demonstrated experience supporting end-to-end change management activities on projects and programs.
  • Change Management certification (e.g. Prosci CCMP ACMP) preferred.
  • Financial Services or Insurance industry experience preferred.

The base salary for this position is between $71900 - $119800 annually. This represents base salary only and does not represent other variable compensation components of our total compensation ( i.e. annual bonus commission etc).
