Senior Certification Engineer (Intrinsic Safety)

Responsibilities:

As a well-established business with a wide-ranging scope the exact role requirements can be determined partly to suit the candidates own experience interests and capabilities. We see this as an opportunity to develop with the business and potential for the candidates role to evolve over time as the business grows. The initial focus will be to become part of the Intrinsic Safety team and evaluate products against EN/IEC 60079-11.

The expectation is that the role would involve responsibility for:

Assessment of products designed to national regional and international standards.

Preparation of technical reports technical files and certificates

Preparation of quotations

Technical advice meetings with clients

Senior roles may include responsibility for the technical review of draft reports and mentoring trainee certification engineers.

Qualifications :

Excellent verbal and written English communication skills are essential as is attention to detail the ability to manage multiple activities at once a collaborative work ethic and a demonstrable desire to deliver outstanding service internally and externally.

An applicable degree HND or HNC technical qualification is required electronics or electrical subjects are preferred.

Candidates must demonstrate a willingness to get involved and form part of our continued success.

Experience in assessing products against the requirements of EN/IEC 60079-11 or the designing of a product to the same standards. Experience in other Ex standards is also advantageous.
