Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated Senior Associate (5 PQE) to join our growing Catastrophic Injury and Large Loss team in Manchester. This is an excellent opportunity to work on complex high-value claims within a collaborative and forward-thinking environment.


The Role

Our Catastrophic Injury and Large Loss team handles every stage of a claimfrom liability investigations and policy coverage through to quantum assessment across all levels of Multi-Track work.


You will:

  • Work closely with experienced Partners on complex high-value and sensitive cases
  • Act for leading insurer and corporate clients
  • Gain exposure to a broad range of claims including motor employers liability and public liability
  • Play a key role in building and maintaining client relationships

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist Partners on a varied caseload of catastrophic injury and large loss claims
  • Conduct investigations including:
    • Taking witness statements
    • Reviewing and interpreting medical records and reports
  • Liaise directly with clients and provide strategic legal advice
  • Ensure compliance with client SLAs and MI requirements
  • Proactively manage files and adhere to court timetables
  • Draft legal documents pleadings and client reports
  • Handle interlocutory proceedings and CCMCs
  • Support Partners in client development and business growth initiatives
  • Contribute to marketing and business development activities


About You

We are looking for someone who:

  • Has 5 years PQE (guideline only) with strong catastrophic injury / large loss experience
  • Possesses solid personal injury litigation expertise
  • Thrives in a fast-paced high-performing team environment
  • Enjoys tackling complex legal issues and developing technical knowledge
  • Demonstrates a strong commitment to client service excellence
