About the Role

Were looking for an experienced Senior Android Developer to join our Mobile Collective supporting and growing apps across MoneySavingExpert Quidco and MoneySuperMarket.

Youll work in full-stack multi-disciplinary squads collaborating with product managers designers and engineers. Expect hands-on involvement across the entire SDLC from design and implementation to testing deployment and maintenance.

Our apps serve millions of users every month and were continually evolving our architecture developer experience and release processes. Youll help shape technical decisions tackle performance and scalability challenges and contribute to the future direction of our Android platform.

Were an AI-enabled engineering organisation using tools like GitHub Copilot and ChatGPT to accelerate delivery and improve code quality. If youre excited about leveraging AI to build better products youll fit right in.

Our Stack

Our Android stack includes Kotlin Jetpack Compose Coroutines Flow MVVM/Clean Architecture approaches GitHub Actions and CI/CD pipelines.

What Youll Do

• Lead feature delivery and drive technical strategy within your team.
• Collaborate with product and design teams for pixel-perfect implementation.
• Write clean maintainable Kotlin code using Jetpack Compose.
• Champion best practices: TDD pairing mob programming and continuous delivery.
• Ensure security is baked in from the start.
• Debug optimise and maintain a high-performing codebase.
• Influence architectural decisions and contribute to technical roadmaps.
• Drive technical discussions and help teams balance speed quality and maintainability.
• Support and coach engineers through code reviews pairing and mentoring.
• Stay ahead of Android trends and bring fresh ideas to the table.
• Mentor and support team growth.

What Were Looking For

• Proven experience building Android apps with Kotlin and Jetpack Compose.
• Strong understanding of mobile architecture and design patterns.
• Passion for agile development and shipping value fast.
• Experience with end-to-end testing and Git for version control.
• Comfortable using AI coding assistants to boost productivity.
• A collaborative mindset and a drive for continuous improvement.
