Job Summary

Our Legal Project Management team works closely with attorneys legal support and clients to co-deliver legal projects. To ensure that legal projects are completed efficiently on time and within budget our team defines project scope develops low-level and detailed project plans and establishes clear timelines and budgets. Using appropriate project management methodologies they track progress manage resources and mitigate risks. The team also facilitates communication and collaboration among all stakeholders both internal and external ensuring that everyone is aligned and informed throughout the project life cycle. By implementing best practices and continuous improvement strategies the Legal Project Management team enhances productivity improves client experience and supports the Firms commitment to delivering high-quality legal services.

Position Summary


The Senior Analyst LPM and Legal Operations is part of the Firms global Legal Project Management (LPM) team and will provide support for all the Teams initiatives. The team works with our lawyers to increase familiarisation and the adoption of LPM to manage Client portfolios and to co-deliver projects. The team also works with our Clients and their in-house legal and operational teams. While the main focus is on legal project management the Team is also involved in innovation process improvement client relationships and legal operations.

Duties and Responsibilities

As a Senior Analyst you will work to support the LPM leadership in the Firms ongoing adoption of LPM on their matters

  • With supervision support the operational management and co-delivery of legal projects/matters by:

    • Coordinating meetings with appropriate agendas and records and conducting project planning/scheduling

    • Assisting with project resource planning and onboarding activities

    • Tracking actions timelines deliverables and dependencies and monitoring financials/budgets

    • Supervising progress escalate changes and report costs as well as managing risks and providing mitigation options

    • Assisting in post-project review and Lessons Learned workshops

  • Applying project management tools for drafting project-related documents and fostering collaborative communication between lawyers and clients

  • Utilising project management tools and techniques for document drafting artifact creation submitting budget proposals and with support from the Finance team tracking and analysing actual project costs against budget proactively addressing budget variances

  • Supporting collaborative communication strategies and recommending LPM best practices and roles maintaining a focus on lean principles and the use of innovation/business process mapping to contribute to the continuous improvement on the LPM Teams processes

  • Preparing financial and client status reports driving continuous improvement in LPM processes

  • Managing individual projects under LPM Leadership oversight handling concurrent tasks with a proactive attitude

  • Acting as a primary global contact for LPM fostering collaboration across departments and aiding in client portfolio management

Qualifications

  • 3 years of relevant work experience including an emerging competency in Project Management (required)

  • A strong academic record preferably at Graduate level and/or a formal Project Management Qualification e.g. APMQ or PMP (advantage)

  • Understanding of professional services environment (required)

  • Motivated self-starter delivery-focussed and a team player adept at collaboration

  • Proficiency in various software including Microsoft Office Legal Tech and SharePoint sites Visio Project and PowerBI

  • Excellent analytical problem-solving and multitasking abilities

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills for interaction at all levels

  • Understanding of law firm financial metrics and ability to analyse reports

  • Detail-oriented problem solver willing to challenge assumptions

  • Ability to work well under pressure and prioritise tasks

  • Strong organisational time management and adaptability skills

  • Sensitivity to cultural differences in project teams

Location

  • This role is based in London.

  • Our standard office hours are 09:30-18:00 with a requirement for 4 days (Monday Thursday) in the office per week.
