Job: Practice Accountant
Location: Stockton on Tees
Salary: Up to 45000 (DOE)

The practice is now looking to recruit an experienced Practice Accountant who can confidently manage client relationships and support a varied portfolio of owner managed businesses.

Responsibilities of the Practice Accountant role include:

Preparing and reviewing year end accounts for a varied client portfolio
Managing client relationships across sole traders partnerships and limited companies
Preparing corporation tax and related compliance work
Advising owner managed businesses on day-to-day accounting matters
Supporting and mentoring junior members of staff where required
Working across cloud-based accounting systems and practice software
Potential involvement in audit work depending on experience and interest

Requirements of the Practice Accountant role include:

Previous experience working within UK accountancy practice
ACA or ACCA qualified preferred
Strong experience preparing accounts for a varied client base
Confident managing client relationships independently
Good communication and organisational skills
Commercial and proactive approach to client service
Audit exposure beneficial but not essential
Agricultural or farming client experience advantageous but not essential
