Senior Accountant

• Manage and processing biweekly payroll
• Prepare and review full-cycle accounting activities including:
  • Payroll
  • Accounts Payable
  • Accounts Receivable
  • Fixed Assets
  • General Ledger
• Support monthly and year-end financial reporting processes
• File monthly GST and HST returns
• Perform account reconciliations ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial data
• Assist with cash flow management budgeting and forecasting activities
• Support inventory accounting and fixed asset tracking
• Conduct variance analysis and providing meaningful financial insights to management
• Assist with year-end audit preparation and reporting requirements
• Ensure compliance with applicable accounting standards regulations and reporting obligations

• Minimum 5 years of progressive accounting experience preferably within small-to-medium-sized businesses
• Professional accounting designation such as CPA CMA CA ACCA or equivalent
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles financial reporting and full-cycle accounting processes
• Extensive payroll experience and confidence managing payroll independently
• Experience with Microsoft Dynamics & advanced proficiency with Microsoft Excel
• Experience in a retail environment is considered an asset
• Strong analytical organizational and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with leadership and team members
