Introduction

Are you passionate about advocating for children with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities and ensuring that they are heard and supportedWe are looking for a caring enthusiastic and motivated individual to join our team as a SEND Teaching Assistant Apprentice.

This is an excellent opportunity to gain a nationally recognised qualification while developing practical experience supporting pupils with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) in a welcoming and inclusive school environment. Working alongside experienced teachers and teaching assistants you will learn how to provide high-quality support that enables every child to thrive academically socially and emotionally.

Whats the role

To be a member of a professional team led by a team leader/class teacher/senior leadership team to provide quality care and education which fosters childrens all round development.

To provide a welcoming and supportive atmosphere to parents carers and families.

To promote the ethos of Kender Primary School.

To share responsibility for identifying personal professional development needs and to undertake appropriate training according to the priorities of Kender Primary School as identified in the School Development Plan.

Previous experience working with children is welcome but not essential.

Kender Primary School is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and requires all staff governors and volunteers to share this commitment. Successful applicants will be required to complete an enhanced DBS disclosure.
