Job Summary

We are working closely alongside a Local Authority in Thurrockto assist with the appointment of a SEND Case Officer on a 3-month contract highly likely to be extended at clients discretion. Please apply with your CV for immediate consideration.

Rate of Pay: 127.61 - 168.13 per day

Summary:

A SEND Case Officer is required to manage and coordinate Education Health and Care (EHC) needs assessments EHCPs and annual reviews for children and young people with SEND. The role involves managing an allocated caseload acting as the named officer and working closely with families schools and education health and social care professionals to ensure statutory processes are completed accurately and within required timescales.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage a caseload of EHC needs assessments EHCPs and annual reviews.
  • Coordinate the statutory SEND process in line with relevant legislation and timescales.
  • Act as the named officer for allocated children and young people.
  • Gather analyse and coordinate advice from education health and social care professionals.
  • Draft and amend person-centred and legally compliant EHCPs.

Essentials:

  • Experience of SEND casework or EHCP coordination.
  • Good understanding of the statutory SEND process and relevant requirements.
  • Experience managing a caseload and working to strict statutory deadlines.
  • Experience working with children and young people with SEND families and education settings.
  • Ability to coordinate information from multiple professional agencies.
