Job Summary
An outstanding school in Haringey is looking for a caring enthusiastic and dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to join their team on a full-time basis. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with experience supporting pupils with additional needs who is passionate about helping children achieve their full potential.
As an SEN Teaching Assistant you will work closely with teachers and the wider support team to provide targeted assistance to pupils with special educational needs. You will help create a positive and inclusive learning environment while supporting pupils both academically and personally.
Key responsibilities include:
Providing one-to-one and small-group support for pupils with SEN
Supporting pupils to access the curriculum and participate fully in lessons
Assisting with differentiated learning activities
Encouraging positive behaviour confidence and independence
Working closely with class teachers and other support staff
Monitoring pupil progress and providing feedback where appropriate
Supporting pupils with their social and emotional development
The school is seeking an enthusiastic and reliable SEN Teaching Assistant who is patient adaptable and committed to supporting pupils with additional needs. Previous experience working within a school or SEN setting would be highly beneficial.
Strong communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships with pupils and staff are essential.
