Role Overview
An inclusive and welcoming school in Slough is seeking an empathetic and adaptable SEN Teacher to join their dedicated specialist team ASAP. This role involves delivering an accessible person-centered curriculum to pupils with diverse Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) including Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC) Moderate Learning Difficulties (MLD) and Speech Language and Communication Needs (SLCN). You will create a structured and encouraging learning environment that fosters independence confidence and personal development.
Key Responsibilities
Plan and teach personalized highly differentiated lessons aligned with students Education Health and Care Plan (EHCP) targets.
Collaborate with Higher Level Teaching Assistants (HLTAs) SENCo Speech and Language Therapists and educational psychologists to deliver holistic care.
Monitor and record small-step academic and social achievements using tailored assessment frameworks.
Implement effective positive behavior strategies and nurture a calm inclusive classroom culture.
Key Requirements
Bachelors degree in Education Special Educational Needs or a relevant discipline.
Recognized UK teaching qualification with QTS (Qualified Teacher Status) or QTLS.
Proven experience or strong practical knowledge of supporting children with complex educational needs.
Familiarity with EHCP outcomes adaptive teaching strategies and positive behavior intervention.
Legal right to work in the UK.
