Job Summary
A highly successful school in Reading is seeking a dedicated and compassionate SEN Teacher to join its team on a full-time basis. The successful SEN Teacher will plan and deliver engaging differentiated lessons that are tailored to the individual needs and abilities of pupils. You will work closely with teaching assistants pastoral staff and other professionals to create a structured and supportive learning environment.
The role will involve:
Planning and delivering differentiated lessons for pupils with SEN
Creating a positive structured and inclusive classroom environment
Supporting pupils academic social and emotional development
Monitoring individual progress and adapting teaching accordingly
Working collaboratively with teaching assistants and wider support teams
Contributing to individual education and support plans
Encouraging independence confidence and positive behaviour
Maintaining high expectations for pupil engagement and achievement
The school is looking for a qualified SEN Teacher with a strong understanding of differentiated and inclusive teaching. Previous experience working with pupils with additional needs is highly desirable.
The successful candidate will have excellent classroom management skills strong communication abilities and a patient nurturing approach. You should be committed to helping pupils overcome barriers to learning and achieve their potential.
