The Progress Coach provides highquality support to learners tutors and teaching assistants to ensure learnersparticularly those with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND)are able to achieve their full potential.
The role is responsible for coordinating learner support monitoring progress leading EHCP (Education Health & Care Plan) processes and promoting successful outcomes through effective collaboration with internal teams external partners and stakeholders.
Key Duties/Accountabilities
Provide tailored support to learners to help them achieve academic personal and developmental goals.
Set monitor and review individual targets that promote independence and progression.
Identify barriers to learning and put appropriate support interventions in place.
Chair EHCP annual review meetings and prepare required documentation and reports.
Review and maintain Education Health and Care Plans in line with statutory requirements.
Assess learner suitability during consultations and provide recommendations.
Essential Experience Required
Experience working with learners particularly those with SEND or additional needs.
Experience of supporting learning programmes monitoring progress and setting targets.
Experience working with a range of stakeholders including education professionals and external agencies.
Essential Qualifications Required
Minimum Level 2 qualification in English and Maths (or equivalent).
Good understanding of SEND EHCP processes and learner support frameworks.
Knowledge of safeguarding practices and procedures.
Awareness of barriers to learning and strategies to improve outcomes.
Additional information to note
Working hours: 37 hours per week
