Self-employed Associate CYP Counsellor - Job pack
We are excited to announce we are growing our therapies offer and are now looking for selfemployed counsellors to support children and young people (aged 1018) across Lancashire.
Role title: Associate Children & Young People Counsellor (Selfemployed)
Hours: Approx. 5 hours per week
Contract: Self-employed
Application deadline: 29th June 2026
Interview date: 7th July 2026
This is a flexible associate role delivering 1:1 therapy sessions mainly online helping young people access support quickly without long waiting lists.
The role
Deliver onetoone counselling sessions for young people
Work flexibly (around 5 hours per week by agreement)
Provide safe highquality traumainformed support
Keep clear client notes and follow safeguarding procedures
Youll be part of a growing service focused on accessible personalised mental health support for young people across Lancashire.
What were looking for
Qualified counsellor (BACP accredited or equivalent)
Experience working with children and young people
Already set up as selfemployed (incl. insurance supervision)
Someone who can build trust work independently and communicate well
What you get
30 per session (sessions charged at 45)
Flexible remote-first working (with some face-to-face by agreement)
